Around here, January sits closer to fifteen, polar vortex weeks push lows past twenty below, and any furnace that's running marginal in the fall will absolutely quit on you in February. Older Victorians in Saratoga and Troy come with their own headaches: knob-and-tube wiring, undersized return ducts, and original radiators that share boilers with hot water systems. Newer builds in Malta, Clifton Park and Halfmoon usually have modern high-efficiency setups but suffer from poor zoning and bedroom temperature swings.
